What do you like about John/Rose: Okay so I love reading conversations between people in fiction. Especially playful snarky conversations. So yeah, that's what made me pretty interested in the dynamic between Rose and John. They can poke fun at each other while at the same time showing that they really care about each other. And also they've been through so much together. I mean, come on. [S] Seer: Descend. Come on.

What do you like about John/Rose: everythi-- uhh... I don't know, I guess I'm fond of ships where the characters are close, longtime friends and can remain so in a relationship (does that make sense?), and that's kind of how I see John and Rose. Also the fact that they're practically opposites in a lot of ways but they manage to bridge those gaps to get along really well, and in fact benefit from some of them (like how Rose can trust him because he's so naively sincere, and John can rely on her to always know what to do because she's so smart, etc.).

What do you create: cosplay, mainly! but i also make music and write.
What do you like about John/Rose: i mainly love how comfortable they are around each other. they are the closest of friends, don't have any secrets, and are happy to joke around and gently poke at one another while trusting that they can disentangle any hurt feelings or misunderstandings that might arise.

they're also more similar to one another than one might appreciate at first glance, and yet their respective methods of dealing with these issues are nearly opposite to the other. neither of them have the SLIGHTEST clue how to go about handling their negative emotions - john stuffs his negative emotions away, refuses to look at them, and puts on a brave, cheerful face; rose puts her focus on OTHER people's problems, deflects others' attempts to look at her feelings, and puts on a cool, reserved, impartial face. they also have big problems with empathy and understanding people's feelings. john has this nigh-impressive knack of somehow being simultaneously the best AND worst listener in the world, and is a little self-centred and insensitive; rose is always on the lookout for ulterior motives, and has trust issues a MILE wide - and conversely, she is repeatedly selfless to the point of recklessness. they're also both very silly people, really! john is more open about this, obviously, but for (and in fact largely because of) all her grandiose posturing, rose is utterly ridiculous as well.

they balance and complement each other beautifully, and as mentioned previously, they are already trusted friends who deeply care about the other. however one ultimately chooses to read the comic, you can't deny that they love each other with all their hearts.

What do you like about John/Rose: Hmm everything seems to be covered already but I really love how they interact! I find them so interesting and hilarious and adorable to follow. Smooches just must be the next step, no doubts about it.

What do you create: Video, fiction (I've roleplayed Rose for several months now), piano, and voice are the options that come to mind first.
What do you like about John/Rose: There were some really eloquent response above and I have to agree with them. They're an adorable couple, and they're also not a perfect couple - they have their share of misunderstandings and incompatibilities, I think - but they work so well together that I think they'd look past that anyway. I love them to death.

What do you create: I mainly make art, but I also enjoy writing!
What do you like about John/Rose: I've shipped them since I first read Homestuck, and it was because they were such dorks with each other! I think John is really good at letting Rose lighten up and show her sillier side every now and then. I like the contrast from John's simple earnestness and Rose's more cryptic ways. They complement each other very well!
